Kraftwerk "12345678 The Catalogue" CD box set unboxing

My digitally remastered Kraftwerk box set came today, and it really is a beautifully designed item (we already know the music is excellent!)

Packaged in an LP-sized box, the lid opens to reveal a hard slipcase enclosing the LP-sized full colour booklets - one for each album - with some album details, but mainly with previously unseen original-era artwork. Lifting out the slipcase reveals the CDs, packaged two-deep in a foam insert. The individual CDs come in inner and outer cardboard sleeves with mostly new artwork.

I've only had a chance to listen to Autobahn so far, but it was definitely an improvement over the old CD version I already have.

If you're a Kraftwerk fan wondering if it's worthwhile buying this box set, I'd definitely say yes!

This is a very nice package. Also included are large card inserts with high-quality reproductions of the original album artwork and interviews with those involved in the original recordings (including some very frank comments from Vini Reilly about his dislike of a couple of the albums!).

I've not had a chance to listen to the remastered CDs yet, but will report back!
